Issue 11 - The changing of the seasonal wardrobe guard
Plus, someone finally landed the Clueless outfit generator.
There’s been an official changing of the guard in my closet; my fall/winter wardrobe is being placed into bins and swapped out for spring/summer, and that means my room is ransacked!!
The 6 month swap out—my 2 closet seasons being approx. April-September and October-March—is the best because I get the high of shopping without having to spend a dime. I haven’t seen all this stuff in months so it’s basically new again.
This is also when I audit all my clothes and figure out what to give away or sell. It’s the best time to do it because you become detached to these pieces in their absence and it’s easier to let go of something you forgot you had.
This season in things I forgot I had (but will be keeping): a Harry & Meghan royal wedding t-shirt, a butter yellow floral blazer, and the giant Opening Ceremony bag that they sold right before they closed. I bought it as a relic; the Costume Institute will be asking to borrow this one day.
Some recent acquisitions in the white shirt with a graphic on it department:

Things I like:
I’ve been looking for a Dave Navarro square neck tank top and found this one from Gap. It’s probably the most perfect tank I’ve ever worn and I just went back to buy it in every color. It’s on sale for $17.

Some additional thoughts:
Can I say one more thing about Gap? The Gap X DÔEN collab is just regular Gap stuff with different colors and buttons.

You know how every brand was making tiny bags in 2019 after Jacquemus made Le Chiquito? We have since seen a complete purse size pendulum swing back to huge bags in 2024, and now we’re slowly ticking back into medium size bags. Tiny bags are back on the horizon.
I got really excited about the idea of Phat Farm sneakers and when I looked them up I realized how hideous they are. The shape is so off.
My friend Vita is a genius and she made this app called Archive—it’s basically a virtual closet where you can upload outfits, break them down piece by piece in a catalogue of your clothes, and see what other people are wearing. I use it to remember good outfits for days when I’m struggling to get dressed. It also helps with questions like: what do I need, what should I sell, what makes me feel bad/good, what am I not wearing enough?
There’s a “dress me” button that randomly generates an outfit for you too. Yes, kinda like that Clueless scene, which people have been trying to accomplish since the movie came out. Here’s two outfits it just made me that I like:

Need to see the Harry & Meghan wedding tee so bad!!
